I Don’t Mix Freely With People And I’m Very Much Single! Flavour Reveals

Ladies favourite, Flavour Nabania has revealed
that he does almost everything at home. He
parties right in his house, works in his house
and of-course eats and drinks at home. He
does not even go to clubs, the singer revealed.
Here is what he told Vanguard in a new
interview.
People will always talk and turn around stories.
But I am still single because marriage is not
my priority for now. I still want to hit the top
before thinking about marriage. It's not yet
time. I am still concentrating on my music. But
the issue is that I try to stay away from
trouble. For instance, I don't even go to clubs.
Any time I want to do something, I do it in the
comfort of my house. I party inside my house.
I do my recording inside my house. When you
start mingling and partying with everybody in
different places that is where one or two
things would start to emerge.

HEALTH TIP FOR TODAY:
SOFT DRINKS: Regular intake of soft drinks harms the eyes through many fronts. Soft drinks promote development of diabetes, which is the greatest destroyer of the eyes. Soft drinks also cause acidic pH, deplete B vitamins in the body and cause malfunction of the brain and the eyes. According to Dr. Hunter Turner, MD carbonated soft drinks cause water logging inside the body tissues including those of the eyeball. He added that build-up of water pressure in the eyes is a prime factor leading to near sightedness. Please,Drink Responsibly

The General Overseer of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor W.F Kumuyi, has again warned members of the church against celebrating Christmas, saying the annual celebration of Christmas is idolatrous and unscriptural.

Kumuyi warned that partaking in the
celebration made Christians to go back from
the commandment of Jesus Christ.
The cleric said this on Saturday at the annual
national December convention of the church,
which held at the church's camp ground in
Ogun State.
He said, "We don't celebrate Christmas. It
actually came from idolatrous background.
That is why you don't hear us sing what they
call Christmas carol, Never! We always say it
is the December retreat. We are only
gathering together because it is the holiday
period and love the lord more, and rededicate
ourselves more.
"When you find anybody coming in, or any
leader, trying to introduce the idolatry of
mystery Babylon, that they call Christmas and
you want to bring all the Christmas carol
saying that is the day that Jesus was born,
and you don't find that in the Acts of the
Apostles or in the early church, then you don't
find that in the church either. If you don't
know that before, now you know."
He warned that any of the church's leaders
that tried to introduce the "idolatry of
Christmas" into any section of the church
would be sanctioned, while also encouraging
other believers in Christ to jettison the
celebration as part of their sacrifice to
perfection.
Kumuyi said the duty of the church was to
make people more like Jesus Christ and not
join in worldly celebrations.
"We are not trying to make the church turn
like the world. We want it to be like Jesus
Christ, and more like the Apostles. If you
don't have that mind with us, then you have
permission to go to other places," he added.
But the Director of Social Communications,
Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos, Monsignor
Gabriel Osu, in his reaction to Kumuyi's
proclamation, said, "I don't know what he
means by saying the practice of celebrating
Christmas is wrong.
"Is he saying that Christ wasn't born? That he
didn't come to die for us? Does he not
celebrate his own birthday? Do Kumuyi's
pastors not celebrate him? It is not everything
I react to; some people just seek attention. If
Kumuyi is a Christian, then he must believe in
Christ.
"The celebration of Christmas didn't just
start today; it is too public an event for
anyone to say that they don't know what it is
about. "If Kumuyi is condemning the
commercialisation of Christmas, I can
understand that. Christ came to redeem us
from our lost state; this was actualised
through his coming, his birth; that is why we
celebrate Christmas. It is the fulfilment of
God's promise."
"I saw him on the television a few days ago. He
was in Akwa Ibom State and was the chief
preacher during their Christmas celebration
event. Kumuyi is just saying what he feels; he is
not making any doctrinal statement."
The spokesperson for the Christian
Association of Nigeria, Oshodi chapter, Lagos
State, Pastor Barnabas Otoibhi, said that
Christmas was worth celebrating.
Otoibhi told one our correspondents in a
telephone interview that the origin of
Christmas was not as important as its essence.
He said, "The origin of Christmas, as we know
it, could be traced to Roman Emperor,
Constantine. Christmas was a day for
celebrating the Sun God. However, because
Constantine was a Christian, the day was
changed to commemorate the birth of Jesus
Christ.
"The tradition has continued to date and since
the aim of Christmas is to celebrate Jesus
since there is nothing bad in honouring Jesus.
Also, the worship of the Sun God was done in
Rome and not everywhere in the world, so it is
not part of our history.
"We mark Christmas with the singing of songs
as a day, which has now been consecrated."

Well most people are just christians in the church alone, the moment they get to the office, Jesus Christ is thrown away. Have you tried to preach in the bus and people find it difficult to say amen! Why they don't want to identify with their Creator outside church! It alarms me how we humans are ingrate! We want to enjoy all the goodies He made available on the surface of the earth, yet we find it difficult to identify with Him. Are you even identifying with Him in a mischevious way, you attend churches where ornaments are not used yet your heart is wicked, thoroughly brutal, you are filled with deception, tale bearing, slander, hyprocrisy, gossip, craftyness, am sorry for so many so called christians because they would be so surprised that at the end they have been on a fruitless journey. Do you pretentiously hurt people, revenge, lure them to immorality, or frustrate them to backsliding, lie about your self and feelings. President Jonathan Has Directed That None Of His Aides Should Reply Obasanjo- Reuben Abati

We have noted the publication on several
websites today of a letter recently written by
Chief Olusegun Obasanjo to President
Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. The Presidency
acknowledges that it has indeed received the
said letter from Chief Obasanjo.
We however find it highly unbecoming,
mischievous and provocative that a letter
written by a former Head of State and
respected elder statesman to President
Jonathan has been deliberately leaked to the
mass media in a deplorable effort to impugn
the integrity of the President and denigrate
his commitment to giving Nigeria the best
possible leadership.
While many patriotic, objective and well-
meaning Nigerians have already condemned the
leaked letter as self-serving, hypocritical,
malicious, indecent, and very disrespectful of
the highest office in the land, President
Jonathan has directed that none of his aides
or any government official should join issues
with Chief Obasanjo over it.
The President himself will, at the appropriate
time, offer a full personal response to the
most reckless, baseless, unjustifiable and
indecorous charges levied against him and his
administration by the former Head of State.

11 Things You’re Doing That Could Cause You To Die Young

11 Things You're Doing That Could Cause You
To Die Young
Are you sitting down while reading this? Well
that could be shortening your lifespan.
Let's be honest: From the moment we're born,
we're all dying just as we're living. But certain
mundane things we do every day may actually
be helping us get there faster. None of this
means we should even try to eliminate these
behaviors from our lives entirely, but it's proof
that overdoing anything, even when seemingly
innocuous, can have serious impacts on our
health. Below we've rounded up 11 everyday
things you're probably doing that could
potentially shorten your lifespan.
1. You're having a hard time finding love.
Having a difficult time finding a mate can
shave off months of your life, while being
single for prolonged periods of time could cost
you a whole decade. A study found that
communities with gender ratios skewing
significantly more male or female caused the
minority sex to have shorter lifespans. Even
when exposed to short time frames of
competition, such as attending a high school
entirely of one gender, participants were
found to have generally shorter lives.
On top of all this, another study found that
never getting married could increase risk of
death over a lifetime by 32 percent, and led to
the previously mentioned loss of a decade.
2. You're sitting down for more than a few
hours every day.
Two whole years of your life could be cut just
from sitting more than three hours a day.
Australian researchers found that even
regular exercise couldn't deter the potential
negative effects of sitting for long stretches
of time. Another study published in the JAMA
Internal Medicine found that sitting for more
than 11 hours a day increased the risk of death
by 40 percent over the next three years,
compared to sitting for under four hours a
day. Time to get that stand-up desk.
3. No Friends.
People with weak social connections were
found to die at much higher rates than their
counterparts, according to research. The same
researchers found that prolonged loneliness
could be as bad for your lifespan as smoking
15 cigarettes a day.
On top of all this, elderly people with large
circles of friends were found to be 22 percent
less likely to die over a tested study period,
and those social connections generally promote
brain health in ageing brains.
4. You're vegging out in front of your TV.
Watching just two hours of television a day
can lead to an increased risk of premature
death, heart disease and Type 2 diabetes,
according to Harvard researchers. The
negative effects of watching television seem
to overlap with the potential negative effects
of sitting too much, but watching television
seems to make the negative effects of sitting
even worse. According to the New York Times,
"every single hour of television watched after
the age of 25 reduces the viewer's life
expectancy by 21.8 minutes."
5. You're eating too much unhealthy food.
Perhaps this sounds obvious, but the truth is
that so many of us continue to do it. As far as
what foods to especially avoid, eating red
meat seems to shorten life expectancy by as
much as 20 percent when eating extra
portions.
6. You're still looking for a job.
Being unemployed can increase a person's risk
of premature death by 63 percent. Other more
specific studies found that "the two factors
most strongly associated with higher death
rates were smoking and not having a job."
Another found that older people who lost their
jobs during the recession could have seen their
lifespan decrease by as many as three years.
7. You're dealing with a long commute.
Commutes of about an hour have been found to
increase stress and have been linked to the
same negative effects as sitting. Long
commutes also reduce the likelihood that
individuals will consistently participate in
health related activities. The greatest lifespan
risk is with female commuters, who were found
to have significantly shorter lifespans after
consistently commuting for 31 miles or more.
The cause for the dip in female life
expectancies has been the topic of much
speculation lately, but while the Swedish
research was able to link commuting to
obesity, insomnia and a higher rate of divorce,
it wasn't able to pinpoint why female mortality
rates are higher.
8. You're having a dry-spell.
A study among men found that failing to
orgasm for extended periods of time can
potentially cause your mortality rate to be 50
percent higher than for those who have
frequent orgasms. This result was found even
when controlling for factors such as age,
smoking, and social class. On the opposite
spectrum, orgasms have been linked to quite a
few additional health benefits.
9. You're putting up with annoying co-
workers.
Missing out on strong connections with your
co-workers can also potentially mean missing
out on a longer life. Peer social support, which
could represent how well a participant is
socially integrated in his or her employment
context, is a potent predictor of the risk of
all causes of mortality. Although having
feelings of encouragement coming from bosses
and managers didn't seem to affect the
subjects' lifespans, those who reported
feelings of low social support at work were 2.4
times more likely to die over the study period.
10. You're not sleeping enough (or maybe
too much?)
Harvard Medical School points out that
research has shown that life expectancies
significantly decrease in subjects who average
less than five or more than nine hours a night.
Most of us suffer from too little rather than
too much sleep, but research suggests there
truly is a sleep "sweet spot" — at least if
you're primarily concerned about living for as
long as possible.
Chronic lack of sleep is associated with a
greater risk of cardiovascular disease,
diabetes, some cancers, dementia, cognitive
and memory problems, weight gain and early
death. And some research shows that too much
(dramatically, unusually too much) regular
sleep could be problematic as well.
Research has also shown that we need an
average of eight hours to function optimally,
but another, somewhat controversial study
found that getting more than seven hours of
sleep a night has been linked to shortened
lifespans.
11. You're fearing death or that you won't
live for as long as you'd like.
This is a painful paradox. A fear of a
shortened lifespans, or Thanatophobia, can
potentially end up causing – a shortened
lifespan. A 2012 study on cancer patients
ended up finding that, "life expectancy was
perceived as shortened in patients with death
anxiety."
Outside of cancer patients, an intense fear of
death can also lead to a three to five times
increase in the risk of cardiovascular ailments,
according to research on Americans who
feared death from another terrorist attack
following Sept. 11, 2001. Although a slight fear
of death has been shown to have positive
benefits, like an increase in exercise and
healthy eating, the fear has been shown to
significantly affect lifespans, especially in
adults nearing the age of being considered
elderly. These effects can also be correlated
to especially paranoid people having weaker
connections with society and increased
feelings of alienation – the negative effects of
which were both discussed above.

ASUU to Parents- Keep Your Children at Home,

ASUU to Parents- Keep Your Children at
Home, Strike is Still On
The Academic Staff Union of Universities,
ASUU, has warned parents not to endanger
the lives of their wards and children by
sending them to their university campuses,
as directed by the Federal Government.
"Don't risk the lives of your children and
wards. Keep them at home because ASUU will
not teach. Soldiers and the police deployed
by the Federal Government will not teach.
Wike can come and teach in the universities.
It is a huge joke to sack lecturers. Our
strike must not be in vain. Our students
must see the results."
ASUU, which also directed all its members
not to sign attendance registers in their
institutions, lashed out at the Federal
Government for lack of consistency in its
statements on the ongoing strike.
The Supervising Minister of Education, Mr.
Nyesom Wike, had at a news conference in
Abuja on Thursday, threatened that any
ASUU member that failed to resume on or
before December 4th would be sacked.
Wike also directed vice-chancellors to
advertise vacancies (internal and external)
in their institutions. He told the vice-
chancellors to open attendance registers for
lecturers that resumed in their universities.
The Government then directed the
Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed
Abubakar, to deploy policemen in all the
federal universities.
But the Chairman, University of Ibadan
chapter of ASUU, Dr. Segun Ajiboye, said
parents should keep their children and wards
at home as no academic activity would
resume until the strike is properly called off.
Ajiboye added, "It is funny. We thought we
are in a democracy. I assure Nigerians that
we know what the law says about the strike.
Our job is statue backed. We are not
threatened. We do not trust the government.
The record of the government is clear. This
government is dishonouring agreements. Our
members are resolved to pursue this to a
logical conclusion.
"If ASUU could withstand Babangida, this
government cannot threaten us. We have
worked this road before, the only thing that
will work is peaceful resolution. It is sad
that government wants to sack us because
we are asking for the resolutions. We are
ready to be sacked but government should
learn from the University of Ilorin
experience. We are going to stay the course."
ASUU President, Dr. Nassir Fagge, urged
the lecturers to be resolute. He said:
"Comrades, can you see the unfolding
drama? Now Jonathan says they didn't give
ultimatum. That the vice-chancellors did and
Wike became their trumpet. But NUC's
(National Universities Commission)
ultimatum is by the Federal Government to
us to resume or get sacked.
"Wike's press address says 'FG has
directed' not 'VCs have directed.' Be calm,
stay resolute. By God's grace, we are on
course."

Why I Married Peter Okoye Despite The Fact He Is My Junior ––Lola Omotayo Peter Okoye of P'Square and Lola Omotayo's love story is compelling and amazing.

Why I Married Peter Okoye Despite The
Fact He Is My Junior ––Lola Omotayo
Peter Okoye of P'Square and Lola Omotayo's
love story is compelling and amazing. The
couple have been in a relationship for over
eight years before they finally tied the knot
on Sunday, November 17, 2013.
There has been a lot of talk and whispers
about their marriage, the family issues and the
fact that Lola is by far older than Peter
Okoye has been trending. But why did she
decide to marry someone who's her junior?
Below is Lola Omotayo's stand on their age
difference...
Lola, who was a Business Development Director
at FKG2m a marketing agency in Lagos, had
told the story of how she and Peter met and
how the relationship started:
"My agency handles some of British
American Tobacco brands and P'Square was
doing a show for us at one of our events in
Enugu. Though I had met Peter a couple of
times before then, at the show there was
some chemistry.
He asked for my number and I refused
giving it to him. I told him 'if you really
want to know me, you have to find my
number'. So he took it as a task and found
my number and the rest is history."
Lola, said to be in her 30s then and Peter in his
20s, was not disturbed by the age difference.
Her reason:
"Like I said, Peter is an old soul and he
always tells me that I'm like a 23-year-old.
Age is just a number. Right now, you can see
it around the world. Demi Moore, Usher and
some known people. Even in Nigeria here,
they are dating people far older than their
age. So, we shouldn't base it on the age
factor. He doesn't make me feel like he's
younger than me."
Hmmmn, is age really just a number in
marriage, especially in Nigeria?

The Grass Is Not Always Greener ...

COPIED.......The grass is not always greener...

Dr Ubani works in one of Houston's biggest cardiology centers. His wife heads over 200 people in an IT firm in Texas too. Living above average they have one dream for which they saved religiously. The dream to someday go back home to Umuahia in Abia state and set up their own businesses.
Meanwhile......

Martins and his wife who both run successful businesses in Umuahia have not missed their "prayer point" in the last 4yrs. "Lord this dream must come thru, we must relocate to America. Lord I decree"

Uche Nwokocha watches through the window of his high rise Zenith bank office everyday. Admiring independent businessmen. Hating his cage. "Sorry his job I mean" and wishing to be an self employed entrepreneur someday
Meanwhile...

Mike Ohimai walks pass that same Zenith bank building everyday. His CV in his hand and sweat on his forehead. Asking God "when"?. When would I say "I work for Zenith Bank. That should be my office up there"

Mrs Aisha Bello, wife of a multi billionaire wishes she could turn back time and re-pick her husband. Can't believe how hellish it is and wishes for singleness

Meanwhile Funke who works for her would give anything to be Mr Bello's wife. 4th wife is ok sef. "See fine man with cash. Kai some women are lucky" she says

The stupidity that is inherent in envy and comparisons of lives is the kind that needs exorcism to expel.

Given the shoes of the man with the life you want may be all that you need to cure you of your inordinate longing. The saying :the grass is always greener on the other side" means you see only the glamour and not the pain.

In conclusion I say in all things let's learn to give God thanks, be contented with where & who you are on the way to accomplishing your desires.

It's some days to the end of 2013, that you're still around is a signal that there is hope for you.

The Abuja Regional Manager of the Trustfund
Pension Plc, Mr. Maurice Ogar, says the
company has recorded 560,000 pension fund
contributors.
Ogar spoke at the Trustfund Retirees
Customer Forum in Abuja.
He said an arrangement of programmed
withdrawal of funds would make it possible for
the firm to pay arrears of the monthly pension
of a contributor a month after his retirement.
According to him, programmed withdrawal
means the periodic payment of funds from the
retirees' saving accounts on the basis of an
expected life span.
He said that the assets from the retirees'
funds held in custody by the Pension Fund
Custodian were managed in consonance with
the guidelines provided by the National
Pension Commission.
Ogar said while the period for the
programmed withdrawal was 18 years, the
next-of-kin of a contributor would be paid the
balance in the event of death.
He said, "Pension fund contributors' figure
under the Trust Funds Plc has hit 560,000.
And with the programmed withdrawal, we pay
arrears of a client's monthly pension from the
month after he or she retires.
"Assets of retirees' funds are held in custody
by Pension Fund Custodians and are managed
in line with regulatory guidelines provided by
the National Pension Commission.
"With the programmed withdrawal, there is
the possibility of additional lump sum or
pension increase and the guarantee period for
programmed withdrawal is 18 years. In the
event of death, the next-of-kin is paid the
total balance in the beneficiaries' RSA."
Ogar, who warned retirees of moves by some
life insurance companies to lure them into
buying an annuity life insurance policy, said
that the policy of programmed withdrawal had
more benefits than any of such insurance
policies.
He noted that some insurance firms were
exploiting some provisions of the Pension
Reform Act, 2004, to advertise the annuity
life insurance policy to contributors.
He stated further under the policy of
programmed withdrawal, while withdrawals
were made, the balance of the retirees'
accounts were invested and the contributors
given the opportunity to know the balance of
their accounts.

TCN blames power rationing on vandals:

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN)
has blamed the recent nationwide power
rationing on vandalism of the gas pipeline,
supplying gas to the Okpai Power Plant in
Delta.
TCN General Manager, Public Affairs, Mrs
Seun Olagunju, on Sunday in Abuja explained
that there had been about 450MW reduction
in electricity generation since the vandalism on
Saturday and that this would last till 26
November, when repair work would be
completed.
It said that all relevant stakeholders were
currently working hard on the repair of the
vandalised plant which that had also been shut
down.
"The repair work is expected to be completed
within three days and Okpai Power Plant will
expectedly resume generation on Nov. 26," it
said.
The TCN appealed to electricity consumers
nationwide to bear with the temporary
inconvenience, pleading with them to help
government in protecting TCN installations.
"TCN regrets inconveniences to the Federal
Government and our highly esteemed
electricity consumers nationwide. We enjoin
members of the public to work with the
government in protecting installations and
facilities meant for our socio-economic
development," it said.
The TCN, was incorporated in November,
2005. It emerged from the defunct National
Electric Power Authority as a product of the
merger of the Transmission and Operations
sectors on April 1, 2004.
Being one of the 18 unbundled Business Units
under the Power Holding Company of Nigeria,
the company was issued a transmission licence
on July 1, 2006.
TCN's licenced activities include electricity
transmission, system operation and electricity
trading.

How To Love Your Enemies By Rev Martin Luther King Jr.

After the terrible ordeal I went through
earlier this year in the hands of loved ones, I
sought for ways to have peace with myself and
them. So far, it has been futile. But yesterday,
the daily verse from the Bible site I read was
about forgiving our enemies.
''But I say unto you which hear, Love your
enemies, do good to them which hate you,
Bless them that curse you, and pray for
them which despitefully use you'' - Luke
6:27.
I was dumbfounded by that verse of the
Scripture. For a while, I couldn't think
straight. If the Lord had not rescued me from
the hands of those people, I probably would be
dead meat by now. How is it then that the Lord
commanded us to do this? - maybe he wants us
to just want him fighting ALL our battles.
Then, I typed the words: ''how to love your
enemies'' into google search engine, and
several sites popped out - as usual. But I
picked this particular one, because after
reading through (it's very long but interesting)
, I got some direction on how to go about it.
And it was a sermon on the topic by the
famous American Baptist Pastor, Martin
Luther King. Now on a second thought, I
decided to share with folks on this board.
Happy reading - if you can!
I found there's an audio recording of the
sermon too - so you can play that back, if you
want to listen to it.

How To Prevent Leg Cramp While Driving.

Your body frame, sitting posture, steering,
foot pedals, and seat position matters a lot
when driving. For maximum safety and
comfortable driving position, it is
recommended that you give a space of at least
25cm from your body to steering wheel which
contains an Airbag, your legs should be able to
touch the pedals comfortably but not tightly
cramped underneath the dashboard in the
driver's footwell. Always sit upright and well
into the seat back of your car. Don't slouch or
sit on the edge of your seat, don't recline your
seat far backwards, don't adjust your seat
too close to the dashboard/steering or too far
in a manner that negatively affects your
sitting position/posture.
You can also adjust your seat height, seat
bottom recline angle, seat thigh/calf length,
seat back recline angle, lumber support angle,
head rest length, and angle, distance from
seat to steering, steering tilt, and telescope
angle, pedal angle and depth etc to
comfortable positions/angles which suits ur
posture, body size, and driving patterns. If
possible, you can buy after market seat
boosters (check your car's owners manual
first before purchasing), you can also relax
your feet, break your driving and take some
rests especially when You're driving for long
periods. If your car's cockpit is too tightly
cramped or your frame is too big for your car,
I will advice you buy a bigger car. And if your
feet can't touch the pedals even after you've
adjusted the afore mentioned adjustables, I
recommend you should get a smaller car.

Who Is A Man

Who is a MAN? A MAN is the most beautiful
part of God's creation who starts compromising
at a very tender age. He sacrifices his
chocolates for his sister. He sacrifices his
dreams just for the smile on his parents' face.
He sacrifices his full youth for his wife and
children by working late at night without
complaining. He builds their future by taking
loans from banks and repaying them for a
lifetime. He struggles a lot and still has to bear
scolding from his mother, wife and boss, Men
are not usually celebrated but they are the most
important part of a woman's life and women
cannot do without them. Please respect every
man in your life because you will never know
what he has sacrificed for u. Share this write up
to every man to make him smile and every woman
to realize his worth. Thank God for men

Lagos Driver Goes Wild, Takes Off His Clothes to Escape Arrest

Lagos Driver Goes Wild, Takes Off His
Clothes to Escape Arrest
There was drama at Palmgrove Bus Stop in
Lagos State, on Monday when a commercial
bus driver stripped to avoid being arrested by
officials of the Lagos State Traffic
Management Authority. The LASTMA
officials had blocked five different
commercial buses for indiscriminately taking
passengers by the side of the road.
Passengers in the four vehicles were asked to
alight, as officials of the traffic agency took
over the wheels of the impounded vehicles. But
something happened when the driver, an
elderly man, who drove the fifth bus suddenly
went inside his bus and brought out a bowl.
According to Punch, a fetid odour emanating
from the bowl polluted the morning air. The
LASTMA officers, policemen and commuters
ran for cover. But one of the officials came
back and stood his ground, wielding a baton
and insisting that the man must follow them.
When it became obvious that the odour
strategy failed, the driver began pulling off
his clothes, prostrating by the front tyres of
the vehicle and rolling on the floor.
A crowd formed around the area, with some of
the bystanders capturing the scene with their
camera phones. One of the officials was heard
telling his colleagues to " leave him alone and
let him go." However, they took close shots of
the vehicle number plate, and the driver,
before taking other seized vehicles away.
Our correspondent spoke with a resident who
said he knew the old man well. He said, "That is
how the man usually does. His bus plies Lagos
Island everyday and he picks his passengers
from that spot."
The source said the bus was owned by a
military officer.
When Punch correspondent approached the old
man for comment, he refused to talk. When
confronted with the allegation of being a
serial offender, he said, "Look, whoever wants
to talk should talk. Everybody has his problems
and I have mine."
