Fayemi Vs Fayose: The court proceedings did not go ahead because of the drama that happened outside.. We gathered that the honourable Justice Adeyeye had approached His Excellency and was informal in addressing him by his first name saying "AYO CAN U CALL YOUR THUGS TO ORDER?" in which His Excellency replied that Sir they are not thugs but party faithfuls and also correcting his Lordship that he expected to be addressed as " Your Excellency" or better still Mr Fayose but the Judge declined and continued being saucy to Governor-elect Fayose .However in this era of social media,we need to see the photos of the assaulted judge but from another source,Fayose neither attack nor order anyone to attack the judge.(News From Ekiti) via @ReporterTimes

Fact: Make sure that what you are doing today is getting you closer to where you want to be tomorrow.

Every relationship should be entered with marriage in view and if the person u are with isn't displaying or showing any sign of the kind of person you want to spend the rest of your life with, why waste pretty moments dating someone when u know its not leading anywhere? Isn't that like fueling your car and driving around to no particular destination? At a point the car will wear out and you would run out of gas.
Make sure the relationship you are into today will be the one you desire for your tomorrow,if not, save your time and cut 'em loose,it will still end some day. And by then you have invested time, money, space and your body over something that didn't last.

Not all that is good

Not all love is good.
There was a time I was in a relationship where the person loved me to the point of addiction.
You know that kind of love that makes them act as if they are not normal anymore.
I meant the kind of love that they are willing to do anything just to make u happy even when they are sad.
Any love where it seems the person is addicted to you is a very bad kind of love.
Any love where the person's existence seems to center around you alone is not healthy.
That love where the person has lost himself or herself in you and don't live for themselves anymore but living for you,is not a good love.
I heard someone tell my ex "if u leave me I will withdraw my admission in the school"
3 days ago I heard a guy say "if she leaves me I will kill myself"
That has gone beyond love,it is addiction and it is never healthy for anyone.
That kind of addiction push people to do crazy things to you or themselves when it doesn't work out.
In loving someone, you shouldn't loose your own identity.
If you find out that you can't stay, live or do anything without someone, then you are in the lane of a bad feelings of love.
Love should make you better, not wreck you.

When you are in Rome , behave like the

Rome has enough people acting like romans(even though they are not). The devil wants you to be caged in the crowd mentality(cattle mentality) of accepting mediocrity.

You where made to be you!

Daniel was in Babylon but didnt act like them; and he was 10times better than his peers.

Moses was born and bred in Egypt, but he chose to be different; he ended up leading his people out of egypt.

#Individuality is the spice of humanity, seperates you from the competition, its the strenght in unity and God's tool to fullfiling his glory!

Be who God has made you to be, not what people want you to be.

Pupils, teachers shun FG’s directive on resumption

Public schools in Lagos State and in many other states across the country did not resume for the 2014/2015 academic session on Monday as directed by the Federal Government.
Schools remained closed in states including Oyo, Ogun, Rivers, Kano, Kwara, Zamfara, Niger and Osun as teachers and pupils did not resume in compliance with their state governments'directive.
However, our correspondents, who monitored the strike, said there was partial resumption of classes in some other states, including Abia State and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Controversy had greeted the resumption of schools following the importation of Ebola Virus Disease into the country by an American-Liberian diplomat, Patrick Sawyer, on July 20.
The Nigerian Union of Teachers had directed its members to shun classes until the government provided the EVD kits to ensure that schools were safe for pupils and their teachers.
In Lagos on Monday, although pupils in public schools did not turn up for classes as directed by the state government, some of their counterparts in private institutions resumed.
The state government had asked pupils to resume for the new academic session on October 8.
The Caleb International School, Magodo, and the Sharret Schools, Ejigbo were among some of the schools in the state, whose teachers and pupils reported to classes.
At the Mindset College, a subsidiary of Vineyard Christian Ministries, only its teachers reported for classes.
There was partial compliance over the directive by the Abia State Ministry of Education for public schools in the state to resume on Monday.
Some public school teachers defied the directive, insisting that the government should provide enough EVD kits before they could return to classes.
However, academic activities went on in some schools in Umuahia, the capital of Akwa Ibom State but the few schools that opened experienced low turnout of pupils.
At the Community Comprehensive Secondary School, Four Town, Uyo, its Vice-Principal, Mrs. Eme Udofia, said normal academic activities had resumed fully in the school.
But confusion reigned in Plateau State where the state government said it had approved N93m for the purchase of the EVD kits in schools.
While some public primary and secondary schools resumed, others did not. However, one of our our correspondents, who monitored the exercise, said even the ones that resumed recorded low turnout of pupils.
Meanwhile, teachers at the Federal Government colleges, Ahaoda, Aboloma and Rumuokoro all in Rivers State also failed to resume on Monday in line with the directive of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria.
The association had asked its members to embark on strike to protest the non-payment of their allowance

South African victims, families may sue Joshua September 23, 2014by Eniola Akinkuotu with agency report

The Founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations in Ikotun, Lagos State, Prophet T. B. Joshua, may face a class action suit if a plan by a South African opposition party materialises.
The party, the Democratic Alliance, intends to write to the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, urging her to assist South African victims of the SCOAN building collapse and their families to sue the cleric.
The party, according to its Parliamentarian, Stevens Mokgalapa, believes the church may be criminally liable.
He spoke shortly after some survivors of the tragedy, including two orphaned toddlers, arrived in Pretoria and a call by the South African Minister in Charge of Pretoria, Jeff Radebe, for a probe by the Nigerian Federal Government.
Radebe, who put the death toll from the building collapse at 115, said that 84 South Africans were among.
South African President Jacob Zuma had last week said that 64 of his country men and women perished in the tragedy.
Nkoana-Mashabane was quoted by SABCNews.comas adding that the party felt that many lives could have been saved if rescue work had begun immediately after the building collapsed on September 12.
"The Democratic Alliance is quite saddened and concerned about the reports of alleged negligence from the church in Nigeria just after the collapse of the building there. We also want to get the full disclosure of the assistance of the South African Government and the cooperation of the Nigerian government in as far as the tragedy is concerned," Nkoana-Mashabane said.
In Pretoria, Radebe stressed the need for the Nigerian government to urgently conclude its probe of the "tragedy,'' which, according to him, has opened up a diplomatic rift between the two African economic heavyweights.
Speaking after about two-dozen injured South Africans landed in Pretoria, Radebe explained that one of the survivors chose to remain in SCOAN.
He said, "We understand from our assessment team that the total number of people who have perished is now 115, but those are not all South Africans. South Africans are about 84 that have died."
Reutersquoted him as saying that the plan was to bring back "all the 26 survivors but there were only 25 who actually boarded the aircraft because one returned to the SCOAN on Sunday."
A 19-member medical team comprising specialised doctors, nurses and medical military paramedics took care of the injured on board a military C-130 aircraft.
"It's the biggest evacuation effort by the (South African) Air Force since the dawn of democracy," two decades ago, said Radebe.
He congratulated the work of South African emergency workers for the "biggest evacuation by the air force since the dawn of democracy".
"We are keenly awaiting as a South African government, the investigation that is being conducted by the Nigerian government so that we get to the bottom of the cause of this disaster," the minister said.
The C130 SA Air Force plane carrying the injured South Africans arrived at the Swartkop Air Force Base in Pretoria on Monday morning. Apart from the two orphaned toddlers aged 18 months and two years, there was also a six-year-old.
Acting Cabinet spokesperson Phumla Williams said, "These kids, we are expecting that the social development (department) will assist in making sure that they link them up with their relatives," she told reporters outside the base.
"Yes, there is a process to make sure that they are taken to their families," Williams said.
Shortly after the plane landed, an initial batch of the survivors was whisked off to the Steve Biko Academic Hospital . Most of them were carried out of the plane on stretchers and taken to ambulances parked nearby.
But the Public Relations Officer, National Emergency Management Agency, South-West zone, Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye, disagreed with Radebe, saying the death toll remains 86.
"We are the ones on the ground and we are sticking to our report that 86 people died and 131 people were injured. We coordinated the rescue operation and we have no other statement to issue."

Ebola: Lagos Shifts Schools’ Resumption Date to October 8

Ebola
By Gboyega Akinsanmi
The Lagos State Government yesterday shifted the resumption date for public and private schools in the state to October 8 contrary to September 22, which the federal government initially approved.
The state Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, disclosed this after a meeting with the principals, vice-principals and head teachers of public secondary and primary schools in the state at the Lagos Television complex, Ikeja.
At the meeting, the governor said the additional two weeks of holiday would allow the state government "to put in place all necessary precautionary measures against Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in the schools."
Fashola said there "are no sides to the issue of containing the spread of the virus in state as both the government and the teachers are on the same side.
"Let me assure you that there are no divisions or sides to the issue at hand. All of us - government and teachers - are on the same side. We are all on the side of safety.
"That is why I commend you for your concern for safety. The biggest fear I have every day is that nothing must happen to anyone of you."
He, however, emphasised the need for everyone to rededicate themselves to good personal and environmental hygiene particularly hand washing techniques.
The governor added that the need to do so could not be over emphasised now since such acts can help to eradicate the virus in our state.
He explained that all public schools in the state would be connected to the Lagos State Water Corporation in order to ensure that they have potable water in the schools.
Fashola noted that each floor of public school would have hand washing bucket to ensure effective hand washing among the students and pupils of public schools.
Earlier, the state Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT), Mr. Adesegun Raheem commended the state government for controlling and combating the virus.
He added that if other countries "have shown the same commitment and dedication shown by the state government in the fight against the virus, the EVD issue would have been a thing of the past now."
Also speaking, the Special Adviser on Public Health, Dr Yewande Adeshina, said thermoscans machines "have been distributed to each public school in the state."
She added that schools that "have not yet collected theirs should immediately go to their education district to collect as they have been distributed to each district."

PRESS STATEMENT ON THE RESUMPTION OF ALL NURSERY, PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN LAGOS STATE. 1. Concerning the resumption of all public and private nursery, primary and secondary schools for the 2014/2015 session, Lagos State Government supports the September 22, 2014 date, which was announced by the Federal Government after a national consultation on efforts to contain the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in Nigeria. 2. Although this resumption date is advisory, as education is a concurrent matter to be regulated by the respective Federal and States Authorities, Lagos State Government considers it eminently justifiable, in view of the fact that there is currently no known carrier of EVD in our State at the moment. Furthermore, the last individual suspected to have been exposed to the virus will be discharged from observation on September 18, 2014, if he tests negative for the virus. All public and private educational institutions in the State are therefore directed to schedule their resumption accordingly. 3. Considering the current situation report, it is clear that the risk of infection with EVD in Lagos State has been significantly reduced. Health professionals working on the outbreak are also in agreement that there is no reason why schools should remain closed beyond the 22nd of September, 2014. 4. In spite of the foregoing, the State Government has now developed and will deploy all resources necessary to sustain the capacity to promptly take into custody any person suspected to be infected with EVD, as well as safely test, monitor and isolate such a person for treatment as may be found necessary without endangering other members of the public. 5. We also acknowledge the need for everyone to remain very vigilant, as the disease still remains in other countries within the sub-region. The following steps will therefore be taken in all schools, whether public or private, before and after resumption of schools: (a) Training and sensitization of students, vendors, teachers and non academic staff on EVD and how to avoid it; (b) Identification of EVD Focal Persons in schools who would be responsible for surveillance and health monitoring; (c) Provision of adequate environmental sanitation, including clean toilets and premises; (d) Provision of running water and soap and encouragement of frequent hand washing; (e) Sensitisation of students on other personal hygiene habits, like the use of handkerchiefs when sneezing or coughing; and (f) Arrangement for prompt referral of any sick person to the nearest health institution for treatment. 7. In spite of the foregoing, the State Government reiterates that the health of all its residents is a matter of utmost importance and, if any reasons emerge for a reconsideration of the school resumption date, a well-considered decision will be taken and the general public will be informed accordingly. 8. The State Government salutes the health personnel and health institutions that have done their best to ensure the containment of EVD. Government officials will meet presently with those health institutions, which might have suffered adverse economic consequences as a result, and will find ways of assisting them to mitigate their loses and safely reopen for business as soon as possible.

Quit Time

Quiet time
There is nothing better than other people praying for you. We're not getting older, just getting closer to home! Be Still. Please pick four people you want God to bless. I picked you.
Please pass this to at least four people you want to pray for. This prayer is powerful, and prayer is one of the best gifts we receive. There is no cost but a lot of rewards. Let's always pray for one another.
The prayer: Father, Thank You for each and every day You have blessed us here on earth. Thank You for Your tender mercies. Thank You for giving us friends and family to share these joys with. I ask You to bless my friends, relatives and those I care deeply for, who are reading this right now. Where there is joy, give them continued joy, where there is pain; give them your peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence. Where there is need, fulfill their needs. Bless their homestead, families, finances, their going out and their coming in's…In Jesus' name; Amen.
(If you choose to send this to more than four people, you are truly blessed to have such friends)

Never postpone.

Self Righteousness

Topic: self righteousness
Brethren, this cannot profit u, u think u are righteous than anybody, u think u ve never failed God in all ur endeavor? Brother, there is something I want to let u know in this world, u will face different challenges but once u confess and accept Jesus as ur Lord and personal savior, u ve been set free frm this world problem, u ve been elected as a candidate unto heaven but always remember to watch urself cos the bible says, in this world u wuld face tribulations, temptation but Jesus said He has won d world for us. Do not fail this task cos u ve been given strength to move forward and re identify who u are in d sight of God.
Satan is watching u always, remember that he failed before he came to this world, do not allow him to come into ur life. Watch and pray so that u will fall into d traps of Satan Mathew 26:41 the spirit is willing but d body is weak.
Think abt d small sin in ur life, unnecessary lie, indiscipline that is in ur life. Some do not hear God again but d moment u discover that, check urself where u ve failed God. Repent today and I pray it shall be well wit u in Jesus name. Amen. . PST George Ayodele +2348039667165 Skype: george26451
