The Living Water

The Living Water - CAC Daily Devotional Guide Wednesday, July 6, 2016 DIGNIFYING THE TRIAL READ JAMES 1:1-10 MEMORISE: Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. (James 2:3). It is not every day that you are faced with trials that you will give up. You have to decide to maintain your integrity, even in that situation. You need to accept the entire matter as something God sends or supervises. Dignifying the trial is a divine setup. Dignifying, in this context, means accepting the entire matter as something God sends (John 9:3). James gives us a perfect way to dignify trying situations. Allow the Holy Spirit to help you rejoice in the Lord whenever you face whatever trials. This becomes more possible when we always remember and are consoled by the fact that the more we learn to rejoice in trials, the more perseverance is developed in us, unto the glory of God. No matter the terrible situation you are in right now, rest assured that God is in total control. He will make you laugh again. As from today, you need to express your faith in Christ in action. Live for Him, no matter the situation. Always remember that you are not alone whatsoever is the situation (Jn 8:28,29). Learn how to persevere under trial, because if you do, you will receive the crown of life (Phil 1:12-14,27-30). PRAYER POINTS 1. Lord, give me the grace to follow You, no matter the situation. 2. Oh Lord, endow me with grace to endure hardships always. 3. Pray that the Lord should help brethren who are going through difficult situations right now. EXTRA READING FOR TODAY: GENESIS 20-23 Good morning and happy new day! The presence of the Lord will not depart from you in Jesus' name (Amen) Jesus loves you. He died for you and I, don't let this be in vain
