As this Month ends today

As this Month ends today

All your challenges and will expire today

Dear Teacher, before you tag that child a poor learner. Before you call that child a slow learner, dyslexic, stubborn, unintelligent or whatever tag you have at the back of your tongue, have you checked your teaching methods?

Dear teacher,

Before you call that child a slow learner, dyslexic, stubborn, unintelligent or whatever tag you have at the back of your tongue, have you checked your teaching methods?

Have you checked and updated your knowledge of child psychology, child development, classroom management or even your subject content?

Have you taken time to really study that child: to know his likes, strengths, fears and dislikes? Do you know what makes him happy? Or did you not know your concern should go beyond cognitive development? Did you not know that his affective and psychomotor domains affect his ability to understand and retain this information you so need him to remember?

I hope I did not lose you when I mentioned affective and psychomotor. I hope you know what they mean and their relevance in education.

My dear teacher,

Have you identified that child's learning style? What materials and techniques have you used to drive home this learning? Or did you solely rely on your explanation: hoping that at the end of a 45 minutes 'lecture' and note writing, this child would miraculously get you?

Oh dear teacher, put away the labels ''stubborn, dyslexic, slow learner, unintelligent, special''.

Every child can learn. This child will learn if only you look within yourself and see that the solution is in your hands. Step out of your comfort zone and be ready to learn. For to teach is to first learn.

"WHO *PUSHED* ME

"WHO *PUSHED* ME"

🐊
A man had one very beautiful daughter. When the daughter was ready for marriage, the father sent news around town that all the eligible young men should come to compete in a test which would determine who was fit to marry his daughter.

🐊
On that day, all was set, all the able-bodied young men came out. Some came with paper and biro and others with cutlasses and swords.

🐊
The rich man took them to his swimming pool and addressed the men: "Any of you who can swim from one end of this swimming pool to the other would marry my daughter.

🐊
In addition, I'll give him 15 million dollars, a car and a house so they can start life well. I shall be waiting to meet my son-in-law at the other end. Good luck!"

🐊
As the young men, all very excited at the prospect of winning, started taking off their shirts, a helicopter came over the pool and dropped alligators and crocodiles into the pool. Immediately, all the men turned back and started wearing their shirts again. Disappointed, some of them said, ''That's crazy, let's see who would marry that girl, no one will''.

🐊
All of a sudden, they heard a splash in the pool. Everybody watched in amazement as one gentleman waddled across, expertly avoiding the alligators and crocodiles.

🐊
Finally, he made it to the other side. The rich man could not believe it. He asked the young man to name anything he wanted but the man was still panting uncontrollably.

🐊
🏻‍♂Finally, he got back to his senses and made a request saying, ''SHOW ME THE PERSON WHO PUSHED ME INSIDE THIS POOL!''

🐊
Moral 1:✍
You don't know what you are capable of doing until you are PUSHED! Meanwhile, the Crocodiles were Rubber Crocodiles.

Moral 2: ✍
Those seeking to push you into the jaws of alligators and crocodiles may have helped you to reach your promised land!!!

🐊
Sometimes it takes going through the bad moments to bring out the BEST in us.

🐊
Trials are raw materials for Triumphant Testimonies... The push might take different dimensions: some people needed to be sacked before realizing their potentials and reaching their goals in life.

🐊
I PRAY YOU WILL GET A DIVINELY INSPIRED PUSH in your life.🐊

FRIDAY 27TH OCTOBER, 2017 THEME: STANDING ON THE SIDE OF GOD TEXT: 2 CORINTIANS 12:13-16 HYMN: EMHB 820 – Who is on the Lord's side

DAILY REFLECTION

FRIDAY 27TH OCTOBER, 2017

THEME: STANDING ON THE SIDE OF GOD
TEXT: 2 CORINTIANS 12:13-16
HYMN: EMHB 820 – Who is on the Lord's side

Everyone in this world must decide, either to be on the side of God or the devil. Most professed Christians in the world today may be classified as 'fence-straddlers', that is, they are trying to live for God and mammon (pleasing the world) at the same time.

Taking sides often means offending someone and pleasing the other. Thus, taking sides means losing some fans, friends, money, followers, popularity, etc. God dislikes the fence-straddlers. He made this known in Rev. 3:15-16 where He says: "I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of My mouth." May this never be your portion in Jesus' name.

In today's text, although Paul did not ask anything from the Corinthian believers, some doubters still accused Paul of being crafty making money from them somehow. But Paul again explained that everything he did for the converts was for their edification and not to enrich himself. Apostle Paul did not allow this to distract him from the vision God gave him and his love and ministry for the Corinthian Church. He was contented and refused to be lured into exploiting the body of Christ. Infact, despite the discouraging comments made by Paul's detractors, he still made efforts to visit the Corinthian Church.

Beloved, when you are 'put on trial' do you think only about saving your reputation or are you more concerned about what people will think about Christ? I counsel you to always stand on the side of God in all situations. Daniel and his colleagues stood on God's side in Babylon. The disciples of Jesus chose to obey God under intense pressure and persecution. Even while being stoned to death, Stephen refused to deny Christ. Anytime and anywhere you stand on the side of God, you are honouring God and God will surely honour you (I Sam. 2:30).
Brethren, in this challenging period in our nation, where people believe that except you follow the path of corruption you cannot be rich, God is still calling His children to holiness and righteousness.

MEMORY VERSE: "And I will very gladly spend and be spent for your souls; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I am loved. (2 Cor. 12: 15)

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, give me the grace to always honour You and to continually be on Your side in every situation in Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

*MOVING TO ETIQUETTE ZONE*

*MOVING TO ETIQUETTE ZONE*

_"The most important ingredient to life and career is knowing how to go along with people."_ -Lanre Badru

I wholeheartedly identify with the best species of category of people on earth, the first call of all professionals; The Teachers! I have moral obligation to admonish and encourage you to move to etiquette zone.
In the words of Arthor Ashe, "From what we are, we can make a living. What we give however, makes a life".
As a chief education officer (CEO), you make a living and life when you move to the etiquette zone of your profession.

According to a research conducted by the Stanford Research Institute, 87.5% of money we make comes from our ability to deal with people, while 12.5% of our success for the product knowledge. I have come to the conclusion that, the most important ingredient to life and career is knowing how to go along with people. I often say to teachers, if there is one thing they must do to excel in teaching profession, it's moving to etiquette zone.

The mantra that says, "Don't judge a book by it's cover", is essentially true, because first impression last long. The school tone or the classroom tone are determined by the etiquette zone established by the teacher. The imperatives are identifying your circle of influence and relate with them with the right ethical conducts and dispositions.

Moving to etiquette zone must be intentional, without it you jeopardize not only your career but the teaching profession as a body of professionalism. You limit your potential, you risk your image and your relationship is at stake. The teachers' etiquette zone cut across classroom, school, home and society. Behaving yourself a little better than is absolutely essential in your dressing, teaching, communication, attitudes, telephone, etcetera.

Etiquette cuts across formal, informal and non-formal manners that are conventional usage in every setting.

I adjure every teacher and educator that desire for quantum leaps in their professional aspirations to move to etiquette zone of your profession.

I love this

πŸ’šI love this,   πŸ’š➖➖➖➖➖➖
Life is not about finding the right person, but creating the right relationship. It's not how we care in the beginning, but how much we care till the very end.
πŸ’š➖➖➖➖➖➖
Some people always throw stones in your path. It depends on what you make with them; a Wall or a Bridge? - Remember you are the architect of your life.
πŸ’š➖➖➖➖➖➖
Search for a good heart, but don't search for a beautiful face, coz beautiful things are not always good, but good things are always beautiful.
πŸ’š➖➖➖➖➖➖
It's not important to hold all the good cards in life, but it's important how well you play with the cards you hold.
πŸ’š➖➖➖➖➖➖
Often when we lose all hope & think this is the end, remember God and pray, it's just a bend, not the end.' -
πŸ’š➖➖➖➖➖➖
Have faith and have a successful life. One of the basic differences between God and humans is, God gives and forgives. But the human gets and forgets. Be thankful in life...
πŸ’š➖➖➖➖➖➖
If u think it is your alarm clock that woke you up this morning, try putting it beside a dead body and you will realise that it is the Grace of God that woke you up.
πŸ’š➖➖➖➖➖➖
If you are grateful to God, forward this to all your friends to inform them that it is JUST BY THE GRACE OF God that we are alive...πŸ’š Don't forget me......

Be motivated, hardworking, disciplined and be prayerful... Never Give up. πŸŽ‚ 🍏

I remember the historic football match between *Nigeria and Brazil in Atlanta 1996.*
Brazil was the king of global football and they knew it. So, Nigeria losing to Brazil that night would not be a big deal.
Gosh! Brazil dealt with us that night. Till around 77th minutes (about 12 minutes to the end of the game) Brazil was obviously dominating the game. The score line was *Brazil 3, Nigeria 1.*
Despite the Brazil squad including star names such as *Carlos, Rivaldo, Bebeto and Ronaldo,* Nigerians watching the game still think Nigeria did not deserve such humiliation by Brazil boys, we had been beaten mercilessly.

Nigerians became angry toward the end of the match; many had turned off their Television sets, some were shedding tears. While few hoped and prayed that we would not be further disgraced with yet another goal.
But the unimaginable happened in the game.
At about 78th minutes Victor Ikepba stroked from 20 meters to score the second goal, everything changed beyond the *3:2* score line. Pressure came upon Brazil. And hope for the Nigeria players, they became more *motivated* and began to fire shots from every angle.
Then another *miracle,* at the *90th minute,* just before the final whistle, *Kanu Nwankwo* turned and flipped the ball over *Dida-The Brazilian keeper,* and it was another goal, the *equalizer.* What a wonderful match.
And there was a rule then, "the Golden Goal". That the first to score in the extra time wins the game.
Then came the decisive goal from *'Papilo'*in just *3 minutes of the extra time.* And that was how the messy game became a message.
A lot can still be done this year to make it a glorious year, the remaining part of the year is sufficient to define the whole year. Don't loose hope now. It is too early to give up on your beautiful expectations for this year. It is not over until it is over. *Wipe off the tears and buckle your shoes.*

1. Review
2. Re-strategize
3. Relaunch.

You will win. Resist the pull of fatigue regardless of the past disappointments, delayed gratification, failures, and broken promises. Keep moving you are getting closer.

*Be motivated, hardworking, disciplined and be prayerful

Everyday I wake up by 4 : 00 am

πŸ‘πŸ½THANK YOU.

Everyday I am up by 4:00am.
Thinking of other people's children.
Off to school to welcome other people's children.
Off to school to make sure other people's children are happy.
Off to school to make sure other people's children are learning.
Off to school to build lives.
Off to school to smile even when I don't feel like,  I must,  I do because I know lives depend on that smile.
Off to school to mark the register,  checking on every child to be sure all is well.
Off to school to play the role of a nanny,  yes my day is made playing that role well.

Yet,  the society wants to See Me as poor.
They measure me by what I earn, not ready to make it better but just wanted to make me feel small...........

They try to compare me with professions I made because I choose to be who I am A TEACHER.

They care less about making me the STAR that I am, suddenly I know better now.....

Now I understand no man can make me feel small without my permission. No one has the right to define me,  I define myself. I am not who the society calls me,  I am who I call myself.

I am the Nation BUILDER.
I am the helper of destiny.
I am A Star.
I am a moulder.
I am full of compassion.
I care.
I teach.
I help.
I discover.
I unfold.
I bring to light.
I AM A TEACHER.

When next you think about me,  see my job beyond what you pay me,  look at the NATION I am building.

HAPPY TEACHER'S DAY.

WHAT DAVID VS GOLIATH CAN TEACH YOU ABOUT BRANDING By Tope Fabusola

WHAT DAVID VS GOLIATH CAN TEACH YOU ABOUT BRANDING
By Tope Fabusola

You probably already know the story. So, let's go with a twist.

A shepherd boy went to visit his soldier brothers in the war camp. He was expecting to meet them "red-handed", with enemies blood splattered all over their faces.

But he was shocked when someone thundered from the enemies' camp, asking for a worthy opponent to face him. This person, Goliath, was a giant towering up to 9 feets.

He had been daring them for days, cursing their God and making jest of their king. But not even the king could step out, and no one seemed to remember they had a God.

Now, here was a shepherd boy who had never killed a human, not to talk of a giant. Yet, he felt like he's got what it takes.

So, he made his intentions known, even against the sharp reprimand of his brothers. The fearful king surrendered his armour and sword to the boy, but they were too heavy.

So, the boy dropped everything, went to war with nothing but his slings, with which he had killed a lion and a bear. He went up and faced an amused giant. He came down with the giant's head.

Now to the lessons:

David was a novice going into a field filled with experienced men. His opponent, Goliath, had been fighting sincerely he was a child. He was used to heavy armours and large swords. David wasn't.

David didn't try to get a bigger armour or a heavier sword. When they wanted to force it upon him, he could barely move. If he had gone to war with them, he would have been slain like a chicken.

What he knew was a sling. He might not have killed a giant or a dwarf. But he had defended his sheep with them and killed wild animals. He was confident in his abilities and he had faith in his God.

But I see people wearing heavy armours today while positioning their brands. I will be more impressed by a slinger who killed a giant than a soldier who wields the largest sword.

Stop competing on pricing. Stop competing on features. Stop trying to be "the best" if you don't want to get frustrated. If there are two things you should do for your brand, they are these:

1. FOCUS ON YOUR SLING;
2. BE DIFFERENT.

God saves our men

*SAVE YOUR HUSBAND!*

Why do husbands in Africa die most times before wives? A husband in Africa in most cases is under intense tension because he is responsible for:

● *Children school fees*

● *house rents*

● *Electricity bills*

● *Medical bills*

● *Generator fuel & repairs*

● *Car fuel and repairs*

● *Feeding of family*

● *Clothes for children*

● *Sallah or Christmas and New year bills*

● *Furniture & House maintenance*

● *In-laws wahala/demand*

● *His own aged parents*

● *His siblings most times*

● *His wife's demands*

● *Vigilante bills*

● *Erecting Building*

● *Religious demands*

● *Family social bills*

● *Electronics bills*

● *Recharge cards*

● *Extended family bills*

● *Community demands*

On top of the above, he also faces:

● *Wife stress/insults*

● *Boss stress at work*

● *Police stress on the way*

● *Area boys stress*

● *Kidnappers fear*

● *Friends stress*

● *Economy stress*

● *Fear of job loss*

● *Unemployment pains*

● *Armed Robbery stress*

● *Children misbehaviour*

● *Neighbours stress*

● *Bank loan payment stress*

● *Enemies stress*

● *Demonic attack stress*

● *Sex stress*

..and so on! OMG!!

Are these reasons not enough for all African Wives to understand and give their husbands peace at home? Are men not trying? How can an African man with these kind of loads be romantic like an American man?
Women, please give your husband's peace at home. Encourage your husbands. Stop being sarcastic to them. Except if you like to join the widows club early! Note:
That club is not funny. Ask members. Help your husband. Contribute to the family. Be a helper. Be submissive. Stop nagging. Build your home and marriage. It is not greener outside there. Don't be deceived!!
Help your husband to live longer like you.

Two minutes management course

Two minutes management course.

Lesson One ...

An eagle was sitting on a tree resting, doing nothing.

A small rabbit saw the eagle and asked him, "Can I also sit like you and do nothing?"

The eagle answered: "Sure, why not."

So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the eagle and rested. All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit, and ate it.

Management Lesson - To be sitting doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.

Lesson Two ...

A turkey was chatting with a bull. "I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree," sighed the turkey, "but I haven't got the energy."

"Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?" replied the bull. "They're packed with nutrients."

The turkey pecked at a lump of dung, and found it actually gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree. The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch. Finally after a fourth night, the turkey was proudly perched at the top of the tree.

He was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot him out of the tree.

Management Lesson - Bullshit might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there.

Lesson Three ...

A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold; the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field.

While he was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him. As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realise how warm he was.

The dung was actually thawing him out!

He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy.

A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate. Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.

Management Lessons -
(1) Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy.
(2) Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend.
(3) And when you're in deep shit, it's best to keep your mouth shut!

This ends your two-minutes
Management course ...

*STOP USING COTTON BUD TO PICK THE DIRTS/WAX IN YOUR EARS.*

Ignorance is not an excuse in the battle of life. In fact, it kills and destroys. Knowledge is power.

*STOP USING COTTON BUD TO PICK THE DIRTS/WAX IN YOUR EARS.*

written by: PASTOR JOHN ADEGBOYE

I usually use cotton bud to pick the dirts/wax in my ear, which I believe is the general practice of many people.
For the past two or three months, I had a discomfort in my ears. I had a buzzing in my ears, and when I talk I felt that my voice echoes. I also felt like I was not heard when I speak and my ear was blocked. It was so disturbing that I had to take some antibiotics but I was not relieved.

I had to go to the Yaba Military Hospital last week, 28th September, 2017, and right there it was discovered that there was an accumulation of dirt/wax in the ears as a result of the usage of cotton bud in an attempt to remove dirts/wax.

I was told by a Doctor that a flushing was needed to remove the wax/dirt that the cotton bud had pushed inside.

*The flushing was done and I was relieved and healed, not from a satanic attack but by ignorance. I was not attacked by witches, demons or marine powers but I was attacked by ignorance.*

*I was told by the Doctor that using cotton bud to pick dirt/wax in the ear is dangerous. He also said that cotton bud should not be used to pick wax from the ear and nature had made it in such a way that the ear cleans itself. Those wax or dirts as you call it, prevents bacteria from entering into the ear drums.*

I saw children of 5/6 years that were on the flushing row with me.

*ADVICE:*

*Please and Please, NEVER use (and tell your loved ones) cotton bud to clean your ears again. The ear cleanses itself. In an attempt to clean the dirts/wax with cotton bud you are pushing the wax/dirt inside, therefore making it get stuck inside.*

Wisdom is key. In all that you do, always ask for wisdom

Solomon did not ask for riches, instead he asked for wisdom, knowledge and understanding. God answered Solomon and gave him more than he requested for including riches and abundant life. Today, i pray that God Almighty will grant you the ability, the strength, the wisdom, the knowledge, and the understanding to perform your duties in life in Jesus name. You will never be a spectator in the theatre of life. God will turn you to a mover and shaker of events in this generation. God will return to sender, every satanic agenda to make your life end in shame, disgrace or regrets in Jesus name. You will end gloriously well in the name of Almighty God. So help you God. Amen. Good morning.πŸ™πŸ½

My prayer for you is that all the things you are passing through this season will work together for your good in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

SHOW ME THE MONEY. Money is hiding in things people don't want to be or do

Money is hiding in things people dont want.

Over the weekend I heard a speech of a top network marketing guru in south Africa and these are the points he mentioned about money and where you can get it. He says you will only find money in these 3 places.

The first place where you will find money is with people. All businesses need people to make money. Doctors need people to make money and they call those people patients. Checkers and Woolworths needs people to make money and they call them customers. Mortuaries need dead people to make money. If you run away from people you are running away from your riches. If you say you are shy and can't talk to people then it means poverty will be your best friend.

The second place to make money is to find solutions to people's problems. Most people run away from problems because they don't want to find solutions to their problems.  That's why we don't last in things that we start because immediately when a problem comes we run away and say it's not working. If only you can find solutions instead of complaining about your problems you will be a better person and you will become successful.

The last place you can find money is with opportunities. Most people run away from opportunities because they don't like such opportunities. You don't have to like an opportunity, if you can just find  the benefits that come with the opportunity and focus on such benefits you will become successful. Most of the things that make people successful are not the things they love but it's what they will get out of those things.

Now how are you making your own money? Don't tell me about a job because you will be poor for the rest of your life as long as you are loyal to your job. The richest people in the world look for and build investment while everyone else looks for a job. Where do you belong? #COPIEDπŸ‘‰
