Choose Not To Be Judas

TEACHERS MENTORING CLASS WITH ENITAN AYOADE.

PLEASE CHOOSE NOT TO BE THE JUDAS.

Judas was playing the scripts unknown to him.

Don't be the teacher that goes around that school telling untrue stories.

Don't be the teacher that discourages other teachers that are ready to work.

Don't be the teacher that will always see what is wrong and will never suggest solution.

Don't be the teacher that will tell parents any thing just to get gift from them.

Don't be that teacher that refuses to grow and refuses to leave the system for fresh blood.

Don't be that teacher that makes photo copies of your school curriculum and delivery styles, action plan for another school without permission.

Don't be that teacher that will always talk bitterly about the Director or Head of school and laugh ๐Ÿ˜ when you see them.

Don't be that teacher that will take school resources home and fight the system of ES ( End of work day searching).

Don't be that teacher that comes late to school almost every day.

Don't be that teacher that is always fighting against meaningful training and staff development plan.

Don't be that teacher that is always hitting children with bad words and negative emotions.

Don't be that teacher that sees the school resources in bad shape and leave it there.

Don't be that teacher that will never give extra.

Don't be that teacher that not research on subject matter.

Don't be that teacher that will never contribute in the Brain storming/ mind mapping meeting.

Jesus knew the end of Judas that one day he will hang himself and he did.

His bad turned out to be good for Jesus.

Most teachers end up hanging themselves by becoming opposite of what the Market Place rewards if they choose to be JUDAS. They become :

Bitter people.
Untruthful people.
Unstable people.
Low skilled practitioners.
Low social skill.
Low empathy skill.
Proud and rude.
Low problem solving skill.

That is what a teacher becomes when he/ she chooses to be JUDAS intentionally or not.

If you find yourself in a school ( organization) where they still don't know the strength of investing in human capacity and having the best HR department for good growth, if you are not comfortable develop yourself and move on rather than stay in the system and contaminate the system.

Refuse to be the JUDAS.

I love you so much.

Your coach and friend

It is who you are that matters and not what you wear..

Agatha Amata shared a personal story on Teju Babyface Show some weeks ago and I think it might be useful to one or two people out there as we step into 2018.

As she puts it; one of her friend's sibling was getting married and it was mandated among the friends to buy aso-ebi. For her, aso-ebi is a 'no no'. But in this case she was arm-twisted to pay 84K for the beautiful material.

On the day of the event, she arrived late to the reception and had to stand because there were no available sits. After standing for about  30 minutes later, she noticed a slim man in babariga and slippers stroll into the party, all eyes were on this man. It was Dangote!

Immediately the mother of the bride sighted Dangote, she stood up from her sit on the high table, carried the chair and rushed down to meet Dangote. In seconds, Aliko was sitting comfortably to the spectacle of the guests.

With mouth agape, Agatha could not hide the shock. She just realized aso-ebi doesn't make you a special guest. 84K did not count.

Agatha ended her story by saying she learned a valuable lesson on that day, which is: 'It is who you are that matters, not what you wear'.

As you start the New Year, invest more in yourself. Strive to be the best in what you do.

Cheers to success in 2018

New term, New challenges

New school face the challenge of getting population at first but with time, the equation will be balanced. One of the thing you must ensure is that the few children you have are outstanding in their various classes before you know it, the parents of the children in your school will do the advertisement for your school. I pray you get the right set of teachers who would but in their best to ensure this. This is really a very nice environment for children, I pray with due time that the school will grow

Five ways to become a better educator

TOP 5 WAYS TO BECOME A BETTER EDUCATOR IN 2018.

 1. GET A LAPTOP! I can count the number of teachers I know who own laptops: very few! Owning a laptop does something for you, it forces you to learn more things and acquire more skills. Don't buy a laptop with the intention of turning it into a DVD player for movies and series. Buy it with a purpose in mind. It will help you become a smarter educator. You do not even need to buy a brand new laptop. You can get Belguim laptops as cheap as N35,000 to N40,000. Owning a laptop makes you more professional. I meet too many teachers who cannot operate a laptop and I find it difficult to take them serious!

 2. BECOME TECH SAVVY! Learn to navigate the digital world. Don't get overwhelmed with technology. Start small. Update your browsing skills, practice with typing on Microsoft Word, then move to Powerpoint. Learn to conduct research online. These skills will be yours for life!

 3. GET A FUNCTIONAL EMAIL! I meet too many teachers who do not have a functional email! I am speechless on this one!

 4. UPGRADE YOUR TEACHING SKILLS: Go for courses! Invest in yourself. If you did not attend up to 3 courses in 2017, then you are already setting yourself up for stagnancy and failure! Let professional development be a part of your game plan! I have attended 9 courses this year already. I have started planning for the courses I will attend in 2018.

 5. COLLABORATE WITH OTHER EDUCATORS: SOCIAL MEDIA has come to stay! Reach out to people who share your passion for teaching, make connections.

 6. GET A MENTOR! Who do you turn to when you are having difficulties at work? I don't mean your pastor...He cannot help you with areas that are particular to your career...he can pray and give you general statements but you need someone more experienced than you who can guide you through the process of being a successful educator.

This teaching business is serious business! We must be armed to succeed!

12 things everybody should do in 2018

*12 THINGS EVERYBODY SHOULD DO IN 2018*

*Counselor Fenyi writes...✍*

*1. Pursue* something. Don't walk in the entire 365 days without having something particular in mind to achieve. Start a building project, buy a car, pay some school fees, start some job. Just do something!

*2. Walk* with people wiser or stronger than you. In 2018, surround yourself with people who will inspire you, who will make you feel you can do better, who will challenge you on.

*3. Check* your dressing or appearance. Don't put on 'anything' just because it covers your nakedness. Your appearance tells a lot about you. Iron your dress neatly. Don't wear 'big big' dresses in the name of religion. Wear more decent but fitting dresses. This is the slogan: Simple but Classy.

*4. Check* how you talk. Before you open your mouth, be minded of who you are talking to, where you are talking, when you are talking and also know that your integrity is at stake. In every situation, choose silence over speech unless you don't have any option.

*5. Visit* your parents quite often. Charley, the old man and woman in the village don't need your money, they merely need your company. They need someone they can see and feel proud that they too could see their child through varsity, shs, technical/vocational school, etc.

*6. In 2018,* be more prayerful. Massa, u can't live your life thinking things occur merely logically. There's a Supreme Being who makes things happen, pray to him.

*7. In 2018,* start thinking or planning towards dating or marriage. You are not growing any younger. Start buying a few stuffs you'll need in marriage. Learn how to talk to men with respect and diginity. Carry yourself well. Men, do same.

*8. In 2018,* always think Positive while being Realistic. When you see tigers praying to God, don't join them. You can be positive that they won't 'chop' you since they are praying but be realistic too that after the prayers, they'll remain tigers and God will feed them with flesh.

*9. Buy* something, package it well and take it to your Pastor. When last did you give your Pastor something? In 2018, try and do something 'small' for him. You have no idea what he goes through in his personal life. Let him feel that at least one person in the church cares about him.

*10. In 2018,* Invest more, save less, spend less. Put your money into investment ventures. Buy T-bills, buy shares, buy fixed deposits, import some goods and sell, be a stock broker, etc. In fact, get more than one stream of income!

*11. Atta* Mills is gone, Ghana is moving on. Komla Dumor is gone, BBC is still operating, KABA is gone, Multimedia is working. The point is, don't work your life out. You won't take your work with you when you die. You are not as important as you think, calm down. Take time off work, go and do medical check-up, visit your family, visit Aburi gardens or the beach and appreciate nature, etc.

*12. After* reading, send this message to all your groups and contacts

My final words to you will be that securing a Friendly and Protective Environment for our precious Children will require us to pay actual attention as primary and secondary caregivers... We may also need to invest in knowledge and skill in this areas and work with experts as organisations... The bottom line is the only major threat to our institution of learning today is abuse because once a child is abused he/she is distracted from learning... I can tell you categorically because my childhood was very rough and full of abuse... I was physically abused, lost my virginity at the age 6 by a female neighbour my mother left me with... As a child, I had already started having sexual relationship with other children, as a teenager I had started having anal sex, in today's parlance you call it homosexuality, as a teenager, i have sexually molested our neighbour's daughter... I suffered emotional abuse also and my parents were not available... I became a dysfunctional adult... I was not suffering from low self esteem... I suffered from no self, no esteem... I found help 20 years ago when I gave my life to Christ and that was the beginning of a turning point in my life and knowing the impact of wrong upbringing, i have dedicated my life to ensuring that our precious children are protected working with parents and all who work with children... I know that the impact of wrong upbringing is eternal except by divine intervention....

A VISIT TO MY VILLAGE
Our village is not far from Awka, the capital of Anambra State. It is called Ibaji. There are old and new houses in our village. We are lucky. We live in a modern house. My father and my elder brothers built it three years ago. Grandpa and grandma live in the house next to us. We visit them everyday because they are old. We help them and they tell us many things about the past in return.
Our village is a peaceful place. We obey our parents and older relations. We also respect Chief Okafor, the Igwe of our village. We have a Council of elders who work with the chief. They advise the chief when there is a problem. We do not have much trouble in our village. We all obey the laws of the government and state. At school, we obey school rules and respect our teachers and headmistress.
I am sure that you will enjoy your visit. I can take you fishing if you like. We can go to the market and there are big shops in Awka. If you like you can join my age group when it is time to clean the Ilo (place for meetings and playing).

This post resonated with me, so I am sharing it. It was posted on a forum I belong to.
WHAT'S YOUR MINDSET?

As I watched the National Geographic Channel on DSTV, I came to learn, for the first time, that the Fish called "The Electric Eel" is Electrophorus electricus.

The fish is commonly found in the Amazon and generally in fresh waters. In the narration of the documentary, Electric Eels are mostly blind, although they are not born blind.

I see them as such beautiful creatures and wondered how come they are blind? I then read about them and came to understand that these animals have three pairs of abdominal organs that produce electricity as a form of defensive mechanism against predators.

Whenever the animal is under attack, it activates an electric field of up to 860 Volts (that is nearly 4 times the 220V electricity supplied to our homes) to electrocute its attacker.

The Eel also requires rising to the surface of the water every 10 minutes in order to take in oxygen before going back under the water.

Due to this routine, the fish has developed a mindset that it is vulnerable to attack due to its constant coming up to breathe and hence
it is always on a 'suspicious' mode
– constantly electrocuting its environment,
even when it is not under attack.

The sad effect is that in the course of continuous electrocution of its environment, its eyes are also electrocuted and hence causes its blindness!

But then, as I watched this animal swimming around blindly and only using its sense of feeling and hearing , and unable to see, it goes into more suspicion and every movement it feels in the water makes it to release further electric shock worsening its plight. The fish thus goes into a cyclic paranoia and self infliction of pain causing it to be more blind irreversibly.

When stranded and in dire need of assistance, its nature of continuous release of electric shocks, prevents helpers from getting to it.

You see, such is the situation in some people's life. They suspect everybody and everything! They are always on a mindset of;

- 'someone is doing me'

- 'something evil is happening to me'

- 'someone is planning to harm me', etc.

By having this kind of mental picture or mindset, such people release shock waves that electrocutes whoever comes near them;

- Friends who mean well, are branded enemies

- Parents are considered evil

- Siblings are suspected of hatching evil plots

- Work colleagues are branded enemies, etc

When people go into such self-destructive mode, all they think about is themselves and not the feelings of others. The desire to protect oneself ends up in hurting others.

Would someone mistake you for Jesus

Would someone
mistake you
for Jesus

A few years ago a group of salesmen went to a week's regional sales convention in Kampala.
At the Entebe International Airport, and in their rush, with tickets and briefcases to return to Nairobi, one of these salesmen accidentally knocked over a table which held a display of apples. Apples flew everywhere.

Without stopping or looking back, they all managed to reach the plane in time for their nearly-missed the flight.
(Compare Lk 10:30~32)

➖➖➖

One of them however paused, took a deep breath, got in touch with his feelings and experienced compassion for the girl whose apple stand had been overturned.

He told his friends to go on without him. He told one of them to call his wife when they arrived in Nairobi and explain he was to take a later flight.
Then he returned to the terminal where the apples were all over the floor.

He was glad he did. The 16-year-old girl was totally blind! She was softly crying, tears running down her cheeks in frustration.

At the same time she was helplessly groping for her spilled produce as the crowd watched and passed by; no one stopping and with no one caring for her plight.

➖➖➖

The salesman knelt on the floor with her, gathered up the apples, put them back on the table and helped organize her display. As he did this, he noticed that many of them had become battered and bruised. These he set aside in another basket.
When he had finished, he pulled out his wallet and said to the girl;
"Here, please take this Sh.4000/- for the damage we did. Are you okay?"
She nodded through her tears.

He continued on with;
"I hope we didn't spoil your day too badly."

➖➖➖

As the salesman started to walk away, the bewildered blind girl called out to him;
"Mister...."

He paused and walked back to look into those blind eyes. She continued;
"Are you Jesus?"

He stopped in mid-stride .... and wondered. He gently said;
"No, I am nothing like Jesus - He is good, kind, caring, loving, and would never have bumped into your display in the first place."

The girl gently nodded;
"I only asked because I prayed for Jesus to help me gather the apples. He sent you to help me, so you are like Him - only He knows who will do His will. Thank you for hearing His call, Mister..."
(Compare Lk 10:33~35)

➖➖➖

Slowly and in deep thought, he made his way to catch the later flight with that question burning and bouncing about in his soul;
'Are you Jesus?'

➖➖➖

Do people mistake you for Jesus?

➖➖➖

That's our destiny as Christians, isn't it?
(Compare Micah 6:8)

➖➖➖

We need to be so much like Jesus that people cannot tell the difference as we live and interact with a world that is blind to HIS love, life and grace.

➖➖➖

(Let HIS words ring)
"...I have given you
an example..."

➖➖➖

If we claim to know
Him, we should
live,
walk
and
act as
HE would.
[Micah 6:8]

➖➖➖

Knowing Him
is more than simply
quoting scripture
and going to
church.

It's actually living
the Word as life
unfolds
day to day.

➖➖➖

You are the apple
of His eye
even though you,
too, have been
bruised by a fall.

➖➖➖

HE stopped what HE
was doing and picked
you and me up,
on a hill called
Calvary and paid
in full for our
damaged fruit.

➖➖➖

Kindly,
let someone hear
this too.
It could be a blessing!

In 1896, Thomas Edison, the great inventor who invented the electric bulb, was working on an idea to design a car when he heard that a young man who worked in  his company had created an experimental car.

Edison met the youngman at his company's party in New York and interviewed him about the car. He was impressed!

He had the same idea as the young man but he was considering electricity as the power source while the young man used a gasoline engine to power the car. He slammed his fist down and shouted "young man, that's the thing! You have it! I think you are on to something! I encourage you to continue your pursuits!"

With these words of encouragement from the most highly respected inventor in the United States at that time, HENRY Ford continued his work, invented a car and became wealthy.

On december 9, 1914, Thomas Edison's laboratory and factory got burnt. He was 67years old and the damage was too extensive for insurance cover. Before the ashes were cold, Henry Ford handed Edison a cheque of $750,000 with a note saying that Edison could have more if he needed it!

In 1916, Henry Ford relocated his home to the building next to Edison's homey and when Edison couldn't walk and was confined to a wheelchair by his doctors, Henry Ford also bought himself a wheelchair so that he could run wheelchair races with his friend and mentor!

Thomas Edison made Henry Ford believe in himself and got a friend for life!

Don't ever be jealous of other people's success. If you can't win a race, help the person in front of you break the record!

Putting out the candle light of your neighbour in the dark will never increase the brightness of yours.

Your candle will not lose its light when it lights up another candle. Getting the job done is more important than who gets the glory!

Be inspired, speak positively into someone's life today, and possibly save a soul.

Ben Carson.

I will always pray for you

I kneel on the floor this morning and prayed for you and all that are yours. As long as there is God in Heaven, you and all that are yours never know shame.
Your life will always have a meaning. The door of goodness shall not be shut against you. Every satanic power trying to re-design your destiny shall be crushed by heavenly hosts. Every evil arrows shall return back to the sender...
By the grace of God, your arrival at all places will break barriers.
Your miracle will break protocols, your testimony shall last forever.
You shall be the most preferred anywhere you go.
Power to survive every storm of life shall rest upon you and the name of the Lord shall be glorified in your life.
The blood will speak for you, The Word will work for you,
The Almighty will perfect all that concerns you,
You will prosper,
The work of your hand will prosper,
You wiฤบl prosper in health,
Your soul will prosper in the name of Jesus!!!!!!!!.
Whatever trap set against you, the One that is greater than the greatest will make a way of escape in the name of Jesus!!!!!.
The remaining days of this year shall be Season of rest
Season of harvest,
Season of joy
Season of peace,
Season of celebration, Season of turn around in the name of Jesus!!!!!.
As the Lord liveth, you will not end this year in shame, in tears, in sorrow or pain in Jesus name.
Shalom.
 Good morning
